The ocean and hakka tung blossom festival

Wednesday morning we drove out to the ocean. There are no sand beaches in the area, but the ocean was pretty nonetheless. It was in the middle of farm land, so the whole place was very relaxing.

There is a wind farm in the far distance. Can you see it?

Random little park thing, I thought it was cool looking.
 Rice!!!!
Emily!!!!

That night we went to this mountain to see fireflies. It was gorgeous, but I couldn't get pictures, it wouldn't show up. But I got some cool pictures of the town.

It was really really pretty, but hard to get pictures of. Anyway, we loved it so much, that we went back the next morning. It is so pretty during the day.
Gorgeous, right? Dad and I went on a hike while Emily studied, this is what we saw.

 It looks like snow!
That is the tung tree, it kinda reminds me of cherry blossoms. It is one of the prettiest things I have seen.

 We had to do it
Here we are at lunch in this restaurant on the mountain, it was really cool.

 So cute!!
That juice was delicious, the rest of the meal was only ok. Dad hated it actually, but that's just because he missed american food and wanted a cheese burger. So when me and Emily were done eating we drove him through a McDonald's. He was happy.
Tomorrow we head to Taipei, the big city capital. I am excited ^^

Good Night~

  1. Sooo Sorry Mark about the cheeseburger thing. Thank goodness for McDonalds. That desert is perfect for you Jane, pretty in pink. By the way, mom's surgery went well. She is heading home today. So happy about that. Six weeks of recovery though. We are all doing fine. Miss you and can not wait to hear first hand all the details of your trip. Continue having fun. Pictures are beautiful.

  2. Sounds and looks like you are having a great time. I know that I am, just following you. Tell dad that whenever I go on a trip like that the first thing I do when I return home is get a burger. I highly recommend E&E or Outback for his fix. Taiwan is very beautiful! Keep blogging. Love you and will see you next month. Gram
